Hi! Thanks for entrusting us with Halo's care today! Lameness can be a sign of a few things that range from a muscle sprain to even a fracture. Knowing that his leg was run over, I would be concerned about a possible fracture or severe soft tissue injury. It is not possible to know if there is a fracture just based on what it looks like externally and radiographs would actually be needed. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian so that this can be further assessed which will likely include radiographs. Treatment will be dependent on findings though at the very least pain control medications can be prescribed. You may rest him in the meantime which may help to some extent. Good luck! Hoping for a speedy recovery!
