Snickers was diagnosed with ringworm by a vet on July 23rd. She was prescribed an oral antibiotic and has cleared up very well. I had to take her out as her cagemate just gave birth to some pups and I didn’t want them to get it as well. My question is how long do I need to keep her seperate from the others? The vet gave me meds and basically just said it should clear up. No timeline at all. Any advice is appreciated.

Hello, once the ringworm has cleared up, they should not be shedding it persistently. However, you need to make sure that you've also cleaned your environment by washing all bedding and clothing Snickers used 2-3 times weekly. Vacuuming and cleaning all surfaces that snickers frequented in the same frequency as the ringworm fungus can live in the environment for a long time. You should prevent the puppies and mom from being around these areas until you have cleaned thoroughly. Hope this helps and best of luck.
