Can I use baby wipes to clean my dog's ears, or should I use solution?

I clean my dog's ears with alcohol free baby wipes in 3-4 weeks as very little wax gets accumulated in his ears. Should I use a ear cleaning solution as well? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 6 months old | 49 lbs
