Why is my dog suddenly aggressive, growling, and biting others?

My dog used to be super nice to his dog brother and to us, but from one day to another he started fighting with his dog brothers daily and when we try to pick him up or pet him he growls at us and tries to bite us . Also, every time we pet or pick up our other dogs he growls at them and tries to fight them even though he grew up with them..Is my dog jealous.?and Why does he growl at us and try to bite us every time we try to pet him or pick him up nicely.? If this is a sudden or new behavior that happened out of the blue, and Toby is now biting and snapping when picked up or handled, I would be concerned that there is something going on such as pain or illness.
