Hello, recently I noticed some strange spots on Ambers fur, they are greyish and it looks like there's no fur. Some of the spots look swollen or bumpy while some grey spots just don't have fur. The spots are on her left legs and underbelly. At first I there were a few and I thought it was just from her playing outside and that they would go away but they haven't and more have shown up. Im concerned and not sure what it is or what caused it. Thanks

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Amber. You can start by bathing her with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner such as an oatmeal or fatty acid based formula. If this does not improve the lesions, then she will need to see her veterinarian. She will likely need skin tests to ensure that she does not have an overgrowth of a mite known as demodex or a fungal infection such as ringworm. Allergies to fleas, the environment or food are common, but are more common if the dog is itchy. I hope this information helps!
