My dog ate a kitchen sponge. Could tiny pieces cause an obstruction?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 8 years and 4 months old | 16 lbs

I came home from work to see little pieces of my kitchen sponge is missing vary tiny little pièces prolly smaller than a dime size put together could that cause a blockage they were tiny pieces

If they are tiny pieces, then likely it won't cause a blockage. Keep an eye on KD just to be safe. Signs of an obstruction include vomiting, anorexia, lethargy, diarrhea, and/or a complete absence of feces. If you see any of those signs, take him into the vet immediately. Otherwise, he should be fine. I hope this helps!
