Hi! I'm planning a long hike (2 weeks/6-8 hours a day), and I want to make sure that won't overwork my 2 year old active female golden retriever. Please let me know. Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | unspayed | 55 lbs

Hi there and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! As long as June has been conditioned for this type of rigorous activity, then she should be okay. I would advise against taking her on this long trip if she is not well conditioned or trained for this. Also I wouldn't recommend it if she has any underlying health conditions or concerns. May be worth a veterinary visit so June can be checked out and examined prior to the trip just to be sure all is okay. I hope this helps!
