My rabbit is grinding teeth and hunched. Is this a vet emergency?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Male | unneutered | 3 lbs

This is probably nothing but yesterday my rabbit started to make a noise that was like her grinding her teeth but acting completely normal and running around/ playing(I read that it could be good or bad) but she stopped today and I noticed she also has been sitting kind of hunched position but acting normal again this probably is nothing I’m just nervous. I tried to take pictures but he kept moving I’ll attach them anyway

Rabbits grind their teeth when they are in pain or have a problem with their teeth or digestion. This is pretty much an emergency and you will need to take your bunny to a veterinarian, preferably one who treats bunnies regularly, for an exam. This is a general sign, so there is no way of pinpointing a cause without an hands-on exam and possibly x-rays of the teeth if indicated.
