My dog is bobbing head, not eating/drinking after ingesting powder?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | 6 years and 7 months old | 7 lbs

My male peekaboo about 5 yrs old. I started seeing him acting different a day and a half ago. He started bobbing of his head. Licking constantly at his feet he has stopped drinking and eating and he has not slept or used the potty for 1 day. I tried to figure out what could of happen and all I could find was some kind of medical powder was in his drinking bowl.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It is hard to know exactly what is going on though I am afraid that he could have suffered a toxicity given that you mentioned a medical powder he could have ingested. His clinical symptoms in general are quite concerning and warrant an evaluation as soon as possible. I recommend that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Please make sure to give them all the information that you have on that powder you mentioned as that could be the issue and that would be vital information for them to know. Good luck and have a good night! I am hoping for the best!
