Lily was 9 months when I started noticing blood spotting on her sheet. She was sold to me as a JRT-Chi but according to her DNA she is 30% Parson russell, 10% rat terrier +several other breeds, none that are JRT or Chihuahua. We have 2 males, Australian healer that are used for cattle dogs. I found out they have no direct access to her, but she has full access to them! At what point during her cycle would she have allowed them to breed her? And what external signs of pregnancy can I look for?

Hello, female dogs are typically receptive of the males about 4-6 days after they started start spotting. They remain receptive for up to 3-5 days. Signs of pregnancy may be few initially, but as they continue to be pregnant, they can develop enlarged mammary glands and a distended abdomen. These would be most consistent with pregnancy, however, the only way to prove it is by having and abdominal ultrasound or x-rays towards the end of the pregnancy. Hope this helps and best of luck.
