Why is my dog eating rocks, throwing up rocks, and not eating?

Why does my GSD eat rocks and how can I get him to stop. He’s not eating his food and throws up rocks. Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | neutered | 1 year old | 100 lbs

I would recommend taking Zeus to the veterinarian to make sure he is not obstructed from eating all the rocks. I then would put him on a leash when outside so he cannot access the rocks, wherever they are in the yard. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
