Puppy in heat: Can she get a Bordetella shot if possibly pregnant?

My 8 month old puppy is currently on her first heat cycle and my roommates dog got to her. We were trying to prevent this but now she's most likley pregnant. My question is can she get a Bordetella shot even though she's still in heat and may be pregnant ? Her next appointment for her shot was supposed to be in 2 days. I think it'll take another week for her to fully be off her heat cycle since its already been 2 weeks. Thank you for your help ! Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | unspayed | 8 lbs

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Yes, I think it is fine to get her the Bordatella vaccine in 2 days. But if the vaccine isn't absolutely needed now (for boarding or grooming) I would just wait until the puppies are born and weaned. There is no issue vaccinating while they are in heat we just rather be conservative if pregnant but if she is it is VERY early. Good luck!
