Is it okay to refrigerate and microwave leftover wet dog food?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 54 lbs

When I give my dog one of his meals, I usually mix half wet food and half dry food. It is okay to store half a can of wet food in the fridge, and then warm it up later on in a microwave for a few seconds?

Yes, it's fine but you can store it in the fridge only for a short period of time (24-36hr). When you warm the food up make sure is not too hot for Choco. The alternative would be to warm it naturally at room temperature for 5-10 minutes. Please post again on the forum if you would like to discuss it further. I hope my answer was helpful.
