My puppy got a combination shot at 5 weeks old(I didn't get him then). From my understanding they get that shot at 6 weeks and the next at 8. I do have him now at 7 weeks and a day. Should his next shot be the combination at 8 weeks?

You're right that the vaccines are typically started at six weeks and the booster vaccines are given every 2- 4 weeks until they are 16- 20 weeks of age. The frequency of the the boosters depend on their risk. It's best to have a vet evaluate him in the next few days. They can give a booster and give you a good plan for future vaccines and other preventative health care. I hope that helps and all is well with Quill.
