My pitbull's breathing is fast, he's vomiting, and not eating well.

Hello, my 1 and a half year old pitbull has a respiratory rate of about 81 at rest.. his eating habits are not good, meaning he doesn't always want to eat, he's very picky. 3 days ago he threw up a bunch of times, last week he threw up twice on 2 separate occasions and it was yellow bile. He still lives going for walks and playing but sometimes he seems really anxious or nervous and he goes in his cage and likes to stay there. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. A high resp rate may be related to heat, anxiety, or excitement. Of course there are other, worrisome things that it could be too, including heart disease, pneumonia. or other infection. However, theses dogs usually are not playful and excited for exercise. Same for the picky eating- it could be totally normal for him or it could be a sign of infection or other problem. Long story short, if you’re worried about Xerxes checked out by a vet just to make sure we’re not missing something important. Best wishes to you and Xerxes!
