My dog has skin bumps after switching to grain-free. Allergies?

Hi! We just switched my dog to grain free food (we thought it would be healthier) last night, I noticed these little bumps (some with puss) on her belly and under arms. She seems ok, but licks it some. I'm wondering if it's food allergies or something different.

That is a skin infection. Definitely can be due to allergies but there are many causes. Sunny should go to the veterinarian as she will most likely need antibiotics. Just a bit of caution about grain-free foods. They are now finding that dogs on grain-free can be at risk for developing dilated cardiomyopathy due to decrease absorption of taurine. I would recommend gradually transitioning Sunny back to her old diet. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
