Do cat food brands in Europe use the AAFCO quality assurance label?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Russian Blue | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 25 days old

I live outside the States (in Spain, more specifically). I've heard about the AFFCO label that assures the quality of the food, but I'm not sure if cat food in other countries (such as Spain) will have the AFFCO label as well. Can someone tell me if this label is used in other countries? Thank you! <3

FEDIAF ( http://www.fediaf.org/ ) is the European "equivalent" of AAFCO. It is comprised of various European pet food manufacturers. There are no laws written specifically for pet foods in the EU so, like AAFCO, these companies self-regulate together.
