My dog in heat humped, no lock. Pregnant? How to treat a nose scratch?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Female | unspayed | 25 lbs

Hi My dog is not spayed she was on her first heat on March 6, 2018. I took her to the dog park the other day and one of the male dog hump her 3 times before I tried to stop them. They did not lock together and can she be possible be pregnant? Also while we were leaving from the park, one of the big dog bit her to the nose then now she has a white scratch from the bite, to her nose and mask. You can really see the scratch and would it turn black again? What meds can I use aside neosporin?

If they did not lock, then it is unlikely that she is pregnant. As for the scratch, unless it looks infected I would not put anything on it, You can clean it with Nolvasan and disinfect it and then let it heal by itself. If the skin is not penetrated I would just leave it alone. It may turn black again, sometimes it does not. TIme will tell.
