My dog is shaking his head and restless. Does he need a vet sooner?

My dog seems to have allergies and takes a small amount of medication for that since a couple of weeks ago but the past 2 days he has been shaking his head a lot more than usual and today he has been a bit restless. We have an appt set for Friday based on mine and my vet's availability but I wonder if it's not soon enough? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 3 months old | 7.6 lbs

I would recommend trying to get Desmond in sooner. It does not have to be today but maybe tomorrow or wednesday. It most likely is an ear infection that needs medication. If they cannot see you I would ask them if they have an ear cleaner they can dispense until the appointment on friday. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
