Why do people cut corgis tails off? ( hazel isn't a corgi) I looking into adopting a corgi and I noticed majority have there tails cut off. Is it for looks or health reason, It sounds sad cutting off a tail, so is it necessary? Thank you

Most Corgis are born with short tails. If not, they are docked very early in life to conform to breed standards. Historically, as cattle herders, a long tail carried the risk of getting stepped on or injured so it was docked early on. This tradition has continued.
