Is Revolution right for my senior poodle's heartworm and flea needs?

It is time for me to get heart worm meds and flea control. My senior dog came with some product to take me to August, 2018. I am looking at Revolution for a 12 lb senior poodle. Would this be appropriate for her? She is indoors except for an early morning and after dark walk. Does she need heart worm meds continued at this age? Pet's info: Dog | Poodle | Female | spayed | 10 years and 7 months old | 12 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Revolution is excellent. That is actually what I use for my own dogs. Heartworm prevention is indeed needed in all stages and I would highly recommend heartworm prevention which is included in the revolution. However, it is important to make sure that Maggie does not have heartworms before you start it so I recommend that you have her evaluated by your veterinarian for a heartworm test first if she was not on heartworm prevention previously.
