Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | neutered | 15 years and 10 months old
My Chihuahua has really bad teeth. A lot of them had to be removed. He's 16 and he can't play with a lot of the toys that he use to. I've tried soft toys and toys for seniors but that's a no go for him. Any suggestions? I want to be able to keep him entertained, but have the remainder of his teeth not hurt.

Rather than look for new toys I think it would be best to see if there are more teeth that need to be removed if he seems to be in pain. There are many dogs that have absolutely no teeth left in their mouths that are happy - some of them even eat dry kibble. In my opinion having no teeth is preferable to a painful, infected mouth. If surgery to remove more teeth is out of the question you may also want to ask your vet about pain medication. If you have already tried offering soft toys and he is not interested I don't think there are any alternatives out there.
