Cat flea allergy sores: Can I apply Revolution higher to avoid pain?

Question

My male cat has an allergy to fleas and his neck is covered in sores. I need to apply Revolution is it ok to apply a little higher on head? Will it go down and get into the open sores? I am just worried it will be painful for him. He also received an injection of Convenia on 7/26- should his sores still be this bad? Pet's info: Cat | Russian Blue | Male | neutered | 7 years and 1 month old | 13 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! The good thing about Revolution is that it does not tend to travel or move much once it is applied. I recommend that you do apply it at least a few inches away from the sores. Good luck and have a good night!
