Why is my recently neutered cat so restless after a room change?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered

I got my cat neutered 2 weeks ago but he’s been acting really restless for the past couple of days. I should mention that we did change the room we usually keep him in even though he is free to roam around however he is more in contact with my other female cat now. Could this factor in as to why he’s so restless.

Any change at all can make a kitty restless. He will just have to get used to the new room, the new cat and also his body has to adjust to the new situation (no more testosterone). This should subside soon. Restlessness by itself is not a problem, but if he does not calm down back to his normal self you may want to have him examined by a veterinarian.
