My cat ate a toxic medication, but I removed most of it. Is he safe?

I gave my cat half a 200 my tablet broken up into his food. Then I decided it would be a good time to google it and found out it was toxic. Went and stopped him from eating and saw there was still two big hunks in the food so he couldn't have digested much. Gave him more fresh food to fill his stomach and some milk as I read that lowers the toxicity a bit and also as some fluids. This was a few hours ago and he seems fine. Bottom line, will my cat be okay because I got most of it away from him?

It doesn’t say what the medication was. Luckily Rio didn’t eat much of it. I certainly would monitor him closely for the next twelve hours and if you are seeing any behavioral changes, vomiting or diarrhea then please take him right in for treatment. Please only give medications that your veterinarian has prescribed since cats are very sensitive to medications and many are very toxic to cats. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Rio.
