Hello my dog Rosco is a 9 month old pit bull, he has always been a healthy strong dog, he's the biggest of his litter has never had any health problems of any kind. For the past two days he's been shaking when he sleeps, throws up sometimes when he eats, barely eats his food and has been cold. I don't know if this is going to help but lately he's been eating a lot of the pears in our yard that fall from the tree and I'm worried about him. Thank you for your help!

Poor Rosco! It could be from the pears. While pears are safe for dogs to eat, they have to be cut up into smaller pieces to prevent the chance of a foreign body. In addition, the seeds of the pear contain traces of cyanide, and if he ate enough of them, there is a possibility of toxicity from it. It could also be that he has an upset stomach, may have eaten something rotten, or could have pancreatitis. I do think having him seen by a vet for these symptoms is a good idea. The vet can diagnose what is causing them, and how best to treat him. Best of luck.
