My cat vomits after eating, vet tests normal. Should I go back?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 5 lbs

hi, my cat stopped eating for two days...he has been trying to eat, but he threw up everything he has eaten. I took him to the vet yesterday and the emergency blood test turned to be normal and he does not have Felv/FIV. I can see he tried to eat, but everytime he eats, he cannot control himself vomiting. What should I do? He was really scared of going to the vet so I'm trying to not bring him again.

I'm so sorry to hear that Marshall is having such problems. Unfortunately, when a cat cannot keep any food down and continues to vomit, he needs additional treatment. It is great news that all his lab tests were normal, so maybe he just needs some anti-nausea medication. Since he is unable to keep food down, he will need the medication to be given by injection (at least initially), so it will require another trip to the vet. Good luck! I hope that was helpful and that Marshall feels better soon. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
