My 7-year-old dog is gassy, lethargic, and won't eat. What to do?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | spayed | 110 lbs

Hey Loki is 7 years old. One day her back legs stopped working I think or she just didn't want to move. My mother gave her meds and she could use them fine again. She has been farting ALOT and she has slowed down and she doesn't seem like herself she is not eating a lot like she normally will eat until she explodes. I dropped some chips on the ground she didn't even get up to get them!. I don't know if she has a stomach virus or not. Vets where I live are extremely expensive 1000 $ for a checkup

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Loss of appetite can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. It is not possible to help her at home without knowing what she has. I recommend that you have Loki evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for these possibilities and others depending on the findings on exam. Treatment would be based on findings. Good luck and have a great day! Hoping for a speedy recovery!
