My new mom cat is gassy with soft stool after kittens, what to do?

4 weeks ago Diamond has kittens and ever since she has had really bad gas. & it stinks. She doesn’t have the most solid pop but it’s not liquid... what do I do?

Well, this is not terribly uncommon. If you are raising mom and babies correctly, you probably switched Diamond over to kitten food while she is nursing her young. This is often the cause of gaseousness and / or liquefied appearance of feces. With time, some cats more than others, the feces tends to refirm and the amount of gas returns to normal. You can try adding a product like Fortiflora to the food. This encourages healthy and quick probiotic growth in the gut. There is a canine and a feline version so be sure to grab the correct product. Hope this makes sense.
