Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 10 years and 3 months old | 12 lbs
Hi I have a dog that has been adopted by my hustand & I due to her being abandoned by her previous owner. She is a Mongroe & she is 10 years of age. Her recent visit to the Vet told us she has a tumor on her Anus & to regular check her. So far I found anther lump on her body that has turned into a mushroom lumps like the one by her Anus. At night she tends to drink a lot of water although it's Winter. She wakes up 2 or 3 times at night to the toilet. Is this a something we should be concerned?

Farah looks like a very sweet dog! How lucky she found you as her new family! I would recommend having the new lump checked by your vet soon. They may recommend taking a small sample of cells (a fine needle aspirate) to determine what type of mass it is, and if you need to be concerned. I would also discuss the increased water intake and urination. This can be an indication of a number of different issues including Cushings disease (excess steroid hormones in the body), diabetes (high blood sugar level), kidney disease and even liver problems. Your vet will likely recommend blood work to look for these issues and will then be able to help you determine an appropriate course of treatment for Farah.
