Why is my 3-year-old female Boxer losing weight and not gaining?

Hi my female boxer is now 3 years old, her weight fluctuates and can get quiet severe her diet has not changed she gets hard nuts and also tinned food, she is kept up to date with her worming, any suggestions as to why this might happen as I’m getting quiet worried as she is not putting on weight now. Is it when she goes through a heat cycle? I would get some blood work on her to make sure systemically there is nothing going on. I would also document when her cycles are to see if she is losing weight while she is going through a heat cycle since it can be hormones.
