My spayed kitten is wheezing and gagging a week later, should I worry?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 2 months and 27 days old | 4 lbs

Ever since my 11 week old kitten was spayed she’s had a weird wheezy Boise when breathing sometimes. The vet said it was likely from intubation but that if it continued to call back. That was a week ago and it’s still happening. Tonight it seems to be worse and she’s doing a gagging motion like she has a hair ball. I’m going to call the vet tmrw but I’m just worried about tonight.

IT could still be due to the intubation, some damage might have been caused and what you see might be the complications. as long as she does not seem to be breathing abnormally fast i would probably not worry as long as you do talk to your vet tomorrow of course.
