Found kitten with injured tail and eyes shut. Is it an emergency?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | 5 lbs

My son found a kitten on our front porch half his tail is hanging by a thread and it looks like the eyes are glued shut in might be a month and a half or two months old we brought it in the house and I put it in the drawer and seems like it might be in pain what can I do about to tell in the eyes

This poor kitten needs to see a vet immediately. If his tail is hanging by a thread, this is extremely painful and there are no pain medications you can give him. Many human pain medications are toxic to cats, and are fatal if given. He may also have a severe eye infection, which also needs to be treated by a vet. Leaving an eye infection untreated can lead to vision loss. I would consider this a medical emergency. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. Best of luck.
