Kitten has bloody diarrhea, older cat is vomiting. Parasite?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | unneutered | 5 months and 19 days old | 5 lbs

Hi. I have. 2 5 month old kittens. 1 is sick. He’s been having diarrhea runs. Where he’ll have to go to the bathroom right away. Where he is standing then it’ll still drip out of his butt when he’s walking. I squeeze his skin to see if he’s dihydrated and it’s fine. The other day I saw in his fecal that it was very runny like almost egg yolk with a little bit of blood. I have an older cat about 7yrs and she is vomiting. Not constantly. But atleast twice this week.

It's possible there could be a parasite affecting both of them that started with the kitten, or something they got in to. I recommend they both be seen by your veterinarian. Bring a fecal sample with you to be checked for parasites.
