Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female | spayed | 9 years and 9 months old
What are the odds that this is a flea bite? My dog had a flea infestation last summer so I’ve been very paranoid since then. She has been continuously treated with Revolution each month and since last month has also been wearing the Seresto collar in addition to Revolution. she has no flea dirt or any other signs of fleas like she did last year. Could this be a passing bite from when she goes outside? Is there a chance an infestation could start if she’s treated with both products continuously?

Flea bites typically look like small, raised areas of redness, and if Trisha was bitten by a flea, I would expect to see multiple fleas bites not just one. Given that she is on a very good flea treatment program and you have not found any flea dirt, I do not think what you are seeing is a flea bite. If you are consistent with her flea treatments and disinfected your home after her infestation last year, I do not believe there will be a chance an infestation could start again. Best of luck, I hope this helps!
