Pet's info: Cat | Maine Coon | Female | spayed | 4 years and 2 months old | 14.5 lbs
Hi, today my maine coon decided to run out the door, so she could spend time outside; but it was too hot & when I went to pick her up; she bit me very deeply several times on my forearms. I have 2 bengals & even after 1 & 1/2 yrs, she sometimes doesn’t get along w/them. I’ve had a cat bite me really hard once & I ended up in the ER w/septicemia & an extreme bacteria infection. Is this just her way of showing that she cannot tolerate the bengals and/or is she just acting out? Any thoughts? Thanks

It could have been redirected aggression or you may have inadvertently caused her discomfort when you picked her up. Consider a pheromone product, such as Feliway Friends or MultiCat, to decrease any anxiety or aggression in the home. Seek medical al attention for yourself.
