Why does my dog have spreading red, blistery sores on his face?

My dog had two red sores by his mouth a week ago. Then next day it was blistery and the size of a quarter. Then few days later it appeared to scab over but spread some. Now it is spread to half of his face What could it be ? Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | 80 lbs
