My cat has brown spots on her head. Are they normal or concerning?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 7 years and 6 months old | 9.3 lbs

Mooney has some brown spots on her head over the eyes, where there is less hair. Should I worry about it? As far I can remember she already had these when I received her in my home in 2013.

Hello, those look like darker pigment skin parts, sort of like a brith mark. If she has had these since 2013, you should not worry about them, they are normal for some cats to have these skin marks. Continue to check them out every once in a while just to make sure there are not changing in size or appearance, but otherwise, you should not have to worry about them. Hope this helps and best of luck.
