Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 4 months old | 49 lbs
Hello - My Husky has been very lazy today. He's been begging for attention more than normal. He is eating, both treats and dry food. Strictly salmon & sw. potatoes. He bit through a deer antler earlier. I'm wondering if those splinters may be the issue. He woke up from a nap 3 hrs. after the antler and heaved for a min., and again later. He is sleeping on my leg now and feels warm. I am wondering, in your opinion, he just needs time to be sick, or possibly needs immediate attention.

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. If he is otherwise normal and has only exhibited this symptom twice now, I would keep an eye on him for the next 24 hours and see if he continues to have the same problem. If he continues to heave or the heaving worsens, I would recommend having him examined by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
