My cat has an oozing lump under her ear. What should I do?

My Petunia (cat) woke up with a lump yesterday morning underneath her ear we thought it might have been a bruise because she rough houses with our other cat. This morning I checked it and it had oozing out and a bald spot and then I noticed that the lump had popped so I drain the pus out of it and I don't know what it could :( We plan on taking her to the vet later on
