Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 5 lbs
My cat out of nowhere started hiding under and behind everything hissing at me and darting around the room with her tail tucked. She's acti g like we are total strangers and she is in a new place. Also I'm not sure if it's her or my other cat, but every once in a while there is cat vomit on the floor. There was a pile today and last night.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Vomiting can occur from many conditions such as foreign body ingestion and obstruction, pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. Hiding is a sign of sicknesss or discomfort in cats usually. I recommend that you have Luna evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. This will likely require bloodwork and abdominal imaging in terms of diagnostics. Treatment would be based on findings. At the very least your veterinarian could start her on medications to make her feel better. In the meantime, keep water available at all times to try to prevent dehydration. Good luck and have a good night!

I can understand your concern here. When a cat all of a sudden starts exhibiting odd behavior and hiding, it usually means something isn't quite right. She may have an underlyingi urinary tract infection or some other illness going on. The signs in cats are subtle at first, but then can quickly escalate. I would highly recommend taking Isabella to your vet for a general health checkup to get her thoroughly checked out. Hopefully you can find your answer with a few tests and get her back to feeling like her normal self soon. Best wishes and good luck with Isabella at the vet. Take care!
