My dog tied during her first heat. Will she be okay if pregnant?

My 7 month old bitch is on day 12 of her first heat cycle. My male dog got out and they ended up getting tied. Will she be ok if she gets pregnant and will there be any complications if so? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 8 lbs

Unless there is a very large difference in size between your male dog and your female dog with the female being very small, there should be no problem if she gets pregnant. However, if you do not want puppies nor want to breed her later on I suggest you discuss spaying with your vet. There are so many puppies out there needing a new home, there is not point in adding to that. Being pregnant now will basically cut short her puppy time as well.
