What special food can I give my cat for post-surgery recovery?

Wolf has just returned home from getting a shot, being neutered and getting his tail amputated after coming home looking like his tail was run over by a car. He has several medications we are to give him and he is isolated from the other cats in a recovery space. He is eating and drinking like normal but is very boney. Is there anything that I feed him to help him recover in addition to his usual dry food? Pumpkin or coconut oil or something like that? Thanks. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! That is a great question and actually very commonly asked. There is really nothing special to feed him. The most important thing is to make sure that he is eating with a good appetite so I would just keep him on his usual diet if that is what he likes. Good luck and have a great day!
