Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Although routine bloodwork isn't standard for Fluoxetine, it is important to ensure that animals don't have diabetes or liver impairment while on this medication. Therefore, bloodwork before starting is a good idea, and checking the liver values every once and a while is a good idea as well. Best of luck with Willow.
