My dog is in heat and mated. Is she pregnant? Why is he whining?

My dog is in heat and i believe is when they have their period ? Cause she has been spotting . I also have a another dog his name is cochie and he keeps crying ( not crting but ehen they make those noises / whining ) and him and my dog had sex ( sorry dont know another word for it ) and now he doesnt let any other dog next to her and when she leaves he starts crying . My sister thinks shes possibly pregnant because hes always with her ? Is it something serious or is it because shes in heat

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Blood droplets from an intact female dog usually indicates that they are in heat. If Coochie is not neutered and they mated then yes your female dog is very likely pregnant. Coochie crying and acting this way because your female is in heat. He likely isn't sick and will return to normal once she is out of heat. Good luck!
