i heard that puppies need to stay with their family for up to 8-12 weeks but I rescued a 4 week old puppy and worried about a it’s health and the way he would act as he has no siblings or mother. Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! While not ideal, this can be ok as long as she is fed a milk replacer formula until she is about 6 to 8 weeks when she starts eating kibble or canned food. They usually can do ok by themselves. Good luck and have a great day!
