My dog ate something off ground and vomited kibble. Is it toxic?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Female | spayed | 1 year and 2 months old | 54.3 lbs

We were on walk today and Nova ate something off ground. I am not sure what she ate but she got only 4-5 seconds to eat. She vomitted almost immediately, I checked her vomit to see if I find anything but it was undigested kibble. I called vet and they told to just monitor her. I am really scared if she ate something like chocolate or something toxic

If Nova had ingested chocolate or something toxic, I would have expected her to have that in her vomit. The fact that she vomited only kibble and vomited right away is good. I would keep an eye on her and if she appears lethargic or continues to vomit, I would certainly have your vet examine her. Good luck! I hope that was helpful and that Nova is fine.
