Why does my cockatiel have black stuff on its nostril? Is it sick?

My cockatiel has some black stuff around her left nostril. It's been there for less than a week, and I'm not sure what it is. Do you think it's a sign of illness? Pet's info: Bird | Cockatiel | Female

They can safely flush out any debris in the nose and get her started on medication to treat any bacterial or fungal infection present.
