Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 6 months and 15 days old | 50 lbs
hello there. i have a 6 month old german shepherd and its bottom front teeth are showing. i used to think that maybe it had dry lips but as it got older its bottom front teeth began to show more as they were also getting larger. i opend its mouth and saw that its lower jaw is overlapping its upper jaw. can anything be done? i have asked other vets but they don't seem to show much heart in the matter. im really concerned

What you are describing is an underbite. It is hard to tell from the photos but it also looks like his jaw is not in alignment. That may just be the angle or the quality of the photo. Without examining myself I can't really say. Unless you want to spend a lot of money at a veterinary dental specialist trying to have this "fixed" I don't see the reason to do anything about it. I don't even know if you have dental specialists in Zim so you would likely have to bring him to South Africa. Really, this is a cosmetic problem and likely will not cause him any problems in the future. There is nothing you can do for this at home to rectify it. I personally would not be concerned if this was my dog so I have to agree with your vets. Sorry, I wish I had a quick fix for you but there is not really anything to be done. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
