There are 2 concerns with papaya seeds. The first is that they contain very small amounts of cyanide. The amount is very small, so even a small dog would have to eat a large amount of seeds to have any problem with that. The second concern is the possibility of an intestinal blockage if they are not able to pass the seeds. This is certainly a concern in a small dog, so monitor Mondy closely for any vomiting, lethargy or inappetance and have him examined immediately if you notice any of those signs. Good luck! I hope that was helpful and the Mondy is fine. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Roxy is a large dog so I think that a handful should be ok. In large amounts they could cause an obstruction. Just watch for vomiting, lethargy and not wanting to eat. If any of those signs occur seek immediate veterinary care. Good luck!
